Immunisations for tetanus, rubella and hepatitis can also be arranged. Influenza vaccination is recommended for everyone aged over 65 years and those people with asthma, diabetes, heart disease and other chronic diseases. Pneumococcal vaccination is also recommended for patients aged 65 and over (this is usually a once only vaccination).
Registering with an NHS dentist
You can find local NHS dental practices that are accepting new patients on the NHS Choices website, or alternatively you can call NHS 111 and speak to an advisor.
Some services provided by the surgery are not covered by the NHS and attract a fee. A list of these is displayed at reception and can be found below. All fees will be payable on completion of the report or examination and a receipt will be given on request. Please note that medical examinations need to be booked in advance and usually take place early to mid afternoon.
Routine immunisation schedule Autumn 2018
If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to complete the travel questionniare below and hand it back to us as soon as possible. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required. There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below
Once we have received the completed questionnaire the practice nurse will review the details and provide information on what vaccinations are needed. If you can please phone us 2 working days after handing the form back and we will book you an appointment for any vaccinations which are needed
It is important to complete the quesionnaire as soon as possible and for the appointment to be made in good time as some of the vaccinations consist of a course of 3 injections and some take at least 2 weeks to work.
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
